Why This Reference Exists
Utah has a free public name search, yet a statewide result is not the same as the court's file. SWW is the public window into a wider UCJIS system managed by the Department of Public Safety's Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI). Court clerks keep the cases, and the court that issued a warrant decides whether it has been recalled. This split matters in Utah because felony cases commonly sit in District Court, while traffic, ordinance, infraction, and lower-level criminal matters often belong to county or municipal Justice Courts. Each court has its own clerk and case duties.
The directory provides the local route once a person knows which county or court is involved. Utah has 29 counties, but that does not mean each sheriff offers the same search page or disclosure process. Some offices answer warrant questions by phone, some link to BCI, and local courts explain their own payment, appearance, or recall steps. A blank statewide result is not a court clearance. The useful first task is to identify the right system, then confirm the case with the office that owns it.

Limits of This Reference
Utah Warrant Records is a privately operated reference, not a Utah court, county sheriff, police department, or BCI office. It cannot perform an official search or act on a Utah case:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any kind of payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a warrant walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a specific warrant applies to you
- We cannot promise that a phone number, fee, or online status remains current
For a case-specific answer, contact the Utah court that issued the warrant and, for service questions, the sheriff or police agency responsible for it. BCI runs the statewide information system but does not issue or recall a court's warrant.
Third-Party Search Partners
Some page search boxes are operated by outside providers. A provider controls its own prices, service terms, and results. If a visitor chooses a paid service through one of those tools, Utah Warrant Records may receive a referral fee. That arrangement does not make a partner's result an official Utah warrant check. Confirm a case with the issuing court and use official government contacts for current instructions.
