Information You Enter
Search Queries
A name or date of birth entered into a search box is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. That provider processes the query and returns results under its own systems. Utah Warrant Records does not keep a log of the search terms entered through those tools.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you contact us by email or another available form, the message is retained so a reply can be sent. It is handled by our team and is not shared outside the organization unless the law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a browser requests a Utah Warrant Records page, the server may receive technical visit data such as:
- The time and date of each page request
- The pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring site, when one is provided
- The browser and its version
- The device type and operating system
- The IP address used for the visit
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. We use them and analytics services to measure overall traffic, such as which pages are visited most often and where visitors leave. Browser settings can block cookies at any time, though some site functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Reviewing traffic to understand which pages are useful
- Maintaining site performance and availability
- Sending a search-box query to the partner that operates it
- Diagnosing errors and technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may be relevant to visitors
Utah Warrant Records Are Not Stored Here
Utah Warrant Records does not keep, assemble, sell, or host a database of warrants or personal warrant files. The site provides general information about the Utah Statewide Warrants search administered by BCI, the courts that issue and maintain cases, and the county sheriff or local police channels that serve warrants. District Court and county or municipal Justice Court clerks hold their own case records. Executive-agency records follow the Government Records Access and Management Act; Utah court requests use separate judicial access rules. Visitor data is not compiled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Outside Search Providers
External companies operate the search boxes shown on some pages. Information typed into a partner tool is governed by that company's privacy policy. Each provider chooses its own retention and sharing practices; Utah Warrant Records does not manage them. Read the provider's policy before sending it a query.
Other Websites and Advertisements
Links may lead to Utah's public warrant search, court records, a county sheriff or other official resource, or an outside search service. The destination's policy applies once you leave this site, so review it before sharing personal details there.
Some advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. Utah Warrant Records does not control that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold by Utah Warrant Records. Information may be shared with or processed by:
- Government or law-enforcement agencies when a valid legal demand requires disclosure
- Advertising networks that place ads
- Analytics providers that measure site traffic
- Search partners receiving queries submitted through their tools
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard security measures are used to protect the information collected here. Internet-connected services cannot be guaranteed free from risk. We work to safeguard data, but cannot promise that an intrusion or other security event will never occur.
