This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. Utah Warrant Records is privately operated. It cannot confirm a warrant, recall one, accept bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice. The issuing court controls its case. Contact the sheriff or police agency assigned to the warrant for service and booking questions.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Use these Utah public channels according to the information needed:
- Initial statewide check: use the free name-search link on the Utah BCI Statewide Warrants page; Warrant Lookup and the Utah warrant-system overview explain the public search and its limits.
- A court case, record copy, or missed-date warrant: identify the District, county or municipal Justice, or Juvenile Court that holds the file. The Utah Courts court directory lists official contacts; a written copy request follows a separate court process.
- Service, booking, or local warrant inquiry: use the appropriate county sheriff or municipal police channel through the Utah county directory. Practices and available online searches vary.
- Traffic FTA and license status: ask the issuing Justice Court about the warrant, then ask the Driver License Division about SFTA status and reinstatement after court clearance.
- Resolving a warrant: discuss a court appearance, surrender, payment, bond, or motion with the issuing court and, when useful, a licensed Utah attorney. The court sets the required steps.
Utah has 29 counties and 115 county or municipal Justice Courts, so there is no single statewide warrant counter. BCI administers a statewide index, but it does not issue or recall court warrants. The court that signed the order holds the controlling case, and local law enforcement handles service. Use the county directory to reach the right county site, then confirm which court appears on the citation or docket before acting.
